Sometimes referred to as a "standard or real-estate home inspection," these are booked prior to closing. The inspection covers hundreds of components in the home and includes a computer generated report, clearly outlining safety concerns and any defects found in and around the home. The report gives you the information to make the best decision on purchasing your home.

Pre-listing Home Inspections
A pre-listing home inspection completed prior to listing or selling the home and can give current owners an idea of maintenance items to address. A pre-listing inspection also helps inspire confidence in prospective buyers regarding the condition of the home and reduces buyer’s shock. The property may look great, but have serious mechanical, technical, safety or functional issues without the owner’s knowledge.

Commercial Property Inspections
Small Commercial Inspections include, but are not limited to: Grocery stores, mom and pop’s stores, small retail, service stations, apartments (4 or less units) and etc. Commercial inspections can involve many inspectors pertaining to their specialties. We look for some of the same items found in a home inspections as well as special safety issues that may pertain to handicap and other commercial related issues.
New Construction (Draw) Home Inspections (phased or final inspection)
This type of inspection is completed for new home owners or construction lenders during the construction process. JDH inspects the home at various stages in the building process as part of the quality assurance checks, or to allow for the release of the next phase of funding. Timing and reports for these inspections are customized to fit the needs of the client.
Individual Component Inspection
I offer partial inspections for those that just have questions on parts of the building. For example, if you want to know if the plumbing or heating is in need of repair or service, we can offer the same quality inspection on individual components.

Home/Rental Maintenance Inspection
The Home/Rental Maintenance Inspection is a basic property inspection used by landlords and homeowners alike to be sure their properties remain in good condition, and to be able to make repairs before the damage becomes expensive.
Thermographic Inspections
Find out where you can improve your homes' efficiency and save money on your energy bills. JDH Inspections LLC uses a specialized infrared camera and other equipment to test for marginal or missing insulation and moisture problems inside of your walls. We can help you locate air seepages, in-floor heating lines, water moisture, and overloaded electrical circuits and much more.

Pool And Spas Inspections
JDH Inspections LLC is now offering Pool and Spa Inspections. Pools and spas are not part of a general home inspection service; however, we do offer this service for those who would like to know more about their pool or spa and its equipment. Inspections may cover pump equipment, decking, covers, electrical, hoses, etc. We do not, however, check the liner (cement, vinyl, or other). This is above the scope of a general pool/ spa inspection and requires either draining or scuba diving into the pool/ spa.

Well Water Testing
For those who are concerned about their drinking water, JDH Inspections LLC now offers Well Water Testing. Well Water Testing is recommended by both the Federal EPA and Wisconsin’s DNR. Sampling is performed according to Certified Lab procedures and collected in a sterile bottle, which is then sent to be evaluated. The two main tests performed are Coliform Bacteria and Nitrates (NO3). If these tests show positive results there are procedures available to remedy the problems. Other tests are also available which include Lead, Radon, and hardness(pH).
-
Radon Testing
JDH Inspections, LLC now offers Radon testing. Radon is found here in Wisconsin at many levels. The EPA recommends that every home be tested for Radon because it can be hazardous to your health. The EPA has set a level of 4 pCi/L, as a high point that needs immediate attention and mitigation. We perform radon tests in both homes occupied by the owner and in real-estate transactions. The test needs at least 12 hours of closed doors and windows in order to perform the 48 hour test. Samples are sent to a lab, and results will be given to you once received. Please contact JDH Inspections LLC for your Radon testing needs. We are here to help.
